*it is a perfect summer's day, and rather than compare it unfavorably to anyone, Ros is out enjoying it. he's in the park, blowing bubbles, and has plenty of extra solution and wands. (but for the record? nice as the day is, Guildenstern is totally more lovely and more temperate. or is that "temperamental?")*

I Dare Damnation

*Laertes is in the multipurpose room of the rec center, a foil in his hand. he tries an advance, a searching thrust; his imaginary opponent ripostes, and he disengages quickly. the rec center has recently been gifted with a shiny new set of fencing equipment from a wealthy alum, which means that Laertes (working in his capacity as assistant coach, of course; never think that he's just doing this for his own vast enjoyment!) must test the new weapons out.*

*feel free to watch, laugh at him, or help him test the equipment.*

*Hamlet is lying on top of the tragedians' van, wearing a cool pair of sunglasses. that's all.*

Many Years Gone

*in the basement of the church where Rey and Laertes got married, there will be a reception--cheaply catered, but perhaps well-attended. go ahead; mingle with the grooms or the other guests. there is no one who couldn't manage to be here if he or she wanted.*

*hey, look, there are now two women in Denmark! Gertrude is lounging around the palace, waiting for Claudius to get home and hoping that Hamlet hasn't done anything crazy. well. crazier than usual?*

*after pausing to answer what is doubtless a Very Important Phone Call, he is half in and half out of the car that brought him home from the airport. His upper half is still inside, so that he can talk quickly and quietly without been seen or overheard. Therefore, from the sidewalk, all that may been seen for some time are very nice pants and very polished shoes. One foot is braced against the curb, jiggling impatiently. After some time--*

Look, I got in twenty minutes ago. We’ll talk about this later.

*and, snapping the cell phone shut, Claudius ducks out of the car and shoves the phone into his pants pocket*

Typist: Claudius. Hopefully I'm doing this right. >_>;

who's there?

*outside the university--a man with a flight jacket and messenger bag slung loosely over one shoulder, walking towards the park. it's a nice day, so when he gets there he sits on a bench, shrugs off the jacket and takes out his reading for class, today Emerson's Compensation. he tucks up his knees and balances the book awkwardly as he takes scrawly notes in the margins in pencil.

he is one whom life has screwed over more than once. he's just glad it was his left arm.*

Typist: Enter Bernardo. Modified slightly from my original concept of him, since I'd been planning to have him be finished with his tour and now adjusting to life in Denmark again; if he's in Francisco's unit there had to be a reason he's not just on furlough.

(Also, the Emerson is totally because I like Emerson. Bernardo, if a major is required at this point, is some kind of history major.)

*Osric is curled up over a double chocolate latte with whipped cream and chocolate shavings on top. he heaves an enormous sigh as he stares at the chocolate bits* You know what really sucks? Valentine's Day.

For those who are not aware, What the Denmark? now has a wiki! Useful for keeping track of threads and the like.

It's password-protected; you can e-mail me for the password if it didn't reach you when I sent it out.

So go ahead, add a page for yourself and your characters and edit the pages on the multitude of AUs we play. (Even on the canon, if you like.) The pages already up should be enough of a template; if not, feel free to ask.

Your friendly WikiMistress,

(I'm personally anxious for the page on PBs to be expanded. ^__^)

By the way? The Tragedians have been doing Phaedra over at their journal for some time without an audience. It makes them sad.

*Horatio is in the Coffee Shop Where Everything Happens--he's picking at the styrofoam of his cup and pretending to be looking at physics equations, because he has something that he needs to tell everyone he knows (except for Hamlet, because Hamlet has occasioned the announcement)*
